Where: reefs, drop offs, 60 to 120 ft
Fishing Methods: Bottom, Drift, Trolling
Rods: Spinning tackle
Notes: Not common on the gulf coast,
but can be found at offshore reefs. Night time best.

Food Quality

Regulations: Minimum 12" total length.
10 aggregate of all snappers with a bag limit.
Must remain whole until ashore.

Catch techniques:

cut bait & shrimp best, small jigs & lures

12lb test or less common, 15 lb test in deep water.
