Regulations:
Minimum 16" total length in gulf, 20" in Atlantic.
4 per person per day in Gulf, 2 in Atlantic.
10 aggregate of all snappers with a bag limit.
Must remain whole until ashore.
Season closed from Nov. 1 to April 14 in Gulf only.

Catch
techniques:
Live bait
will work best, also cigar minnows, cut fish or squid.
Bottom fishing around reefs or bridge ruble to start.
Use a 1lb lead sinker bottom fishing in the gulf.
Drop weight until it hits bottom, Reel back up about twenty turns,
and wait. Keep rod tip pointed up high. When you feel a bit,
let the rod tip be pulled toward the water.
Then pull up and reel fast until you are sure the fish is hooked.
Reel at a steady pace.
